NOMADIC ACADEMY FOR FOOLS

The ‘NOA’ is a place for realising (real-eye-sing), for being. Being imaginative. For saying yes. For sharing. For connection. For remembering what it means to be (a) present. It’s a seven-year program that invites you to recognize yourself. Especially by the help of the people you are with. What for? To do more purposefully what we do anyway: create our lives, as individuals as well as communities.

The ‘NOA’ is a place to learn about “giving in” by the means of theatre improvisation. Why should that be of any importance? I would say: because being in control is only reenacting what I’ve understood in the past, whilst giving in is an expansion of the understanding of my Self. What for? To laugh about myself. To grow empathy. To encourage kindness. These beautiful qualities which are only given to human beings – and which are so easily dismissed.

From year 3 on (which I am part of) the work of the ‘NOA’ also offers to work with Shakespeare. Thus I will be engaged with “As You Like It” and its magical Forest of Arden …
